People using hospital emergency departments ‘like a GP’

A hospital doctor is fed up with people who use the emergency department for non-emergencies.

“We have many acute cases and accidents that can’t be prevented, but we also have patients that turn up with a pain they’ve had for three weeks,” Waikato Hospital emergency doctor John Bonning said.
