From virtual hospital appointments to rural safety and a recipe for a boil-up – find it all in the Winter issue of Waikato DHB’s quarterly magazine Waikato Health News.
The magazine is for visitors, patients, clients and their families, and also the Waikato public who are interested in health-related topics.
“The magazine is designed to be a ‘good read’”, says Lydia Aydon, executive director of public affairs. “That means interesting, informative stories presented in an easy-to-read way. Where relevant, we provide some good health advice on topics like vaccinations or stress or skin checks for melanoma.”
This latest issue includes some heart-warming stories told by patients about their experience of the DHB’s services and staff. These are people who have suffered from significant health or injuries issues, and have found the connection with our staff a really important part of their treatment or recovery.
The Maori Kai recipe is the meal that ‘starred’ recently in the media as a very popular example of the great food produced by Waikato Hospital kitchen staff.
Waikato Health News Winter 2016 magazine (and all previous issues) is available online at the Waikato DHB Newsroom website, and is also available in print at Waikato DHB hospitals and care facilities, and several other DHB locations.
