Waikato District Health Board (DHB) staff gathered today to farewell and thank outgoing chief operating officer and recent primary strategic liaison Jan Adams. Jan leaves to take up the role as Bupa New Zealand’s director nursing, quality and risk.

It was a time to reflect and celebrate Jan’s 18 years of service for the DHB. While at Waikato, Jan has held a number of roles including director of nursing and midwifery and eight years as chief operating officer.

CE Nigel Murray thanked Jan for her contribution over the years and acknowledged her contribution on behalf of the board, having managed a complex health system amongst a major rebuild with several disruptions.
